If it is five-star luxury that is required looking out onto a wonderful golf course, then Bovey Castle is likely to be the answer. Originally built as a private home and sporting estate in the 1920s, it exudes elegance and luxury – a touch of Agatha Christie, the Orient Express and Hercule Poirot – and enjoys some particularly glorious views. Fresh organic Devonshire produce and meticulous service make dining an unforgettable experience.

Designed in 1926 in a wooded moorland valley by J F Abercromby, one of the finest British golf course designers of the 1920s, the Old Course at Bovey is a challenging and beautiful championship golf course that has hosted many professional tournaments. Water comes into play throughout the course, which has been described as an experience of golf never to be forgotten, a demanding yet enjoyable challenge for professional and amateur golfers alike.
